She said the forum handled issues of illiteracy as well as the increase of street children in the new born nation of South Sudan.

“There were numerous issues found to be the root cause of tribal conflict, communal cattle rustling and other rampant killings in South Sudan, poverty and illiteracy constitute the larger part while other slight issues come after,” she said.

She added that the participants also came up with a solid decision of empowering women in the greater Bahr el Ghazal region.

“The team also recommended to the national government to deploy 400 more troops along Lakes-Warrap states border to harbour the security between the two states, she said.

Following the recommendations from the participants, another theme challenge was identified to be the issue of street children increasing daily.

During the two day workshop under the theme “Unity and peaceful coexistence plus quality leadership prevails” within the greater Bahr el Ghazal and national level at large.

The forum had asked the participants for the togetherness as southerners regardless of keeping differences amongst themselves in the current government and stability of peace, security and unity among the tribes and other bordering states. .

The minister told the journalists that she is certain that the committee is going to call for the next meeting when they complete their assigned duties and shall do better than expected.
