Joseph added that the item is buried down and only the tail fin assembly can be seen….it has been fired he added but it required excavation and to be destroyed in-situ if found complete or to be removed.

“The item will be destroyed in situ and will be not be moved, any movement of personnel in around Bentiu cemetery will be avoided from morning to till noon,” he said.

Joseph also urged the local community to report such a thing to the Mine Action Group.

The Danish Demining Group is one of our mine action organizations that will conduct a demolition of ordnance at Bentiu cemetery.
