According to eye witnesses, the fire was suspected to have occurred as a result of short circuit that resulted from a 24-hour use of the company generator and coupling with the too much heat.
A junior official who requested to remain anonymous told Gurtong that the company uses only a generator for 24hours and rest only for an hour every day.
“I blame the managers. They are rigid to money. The company uses only a generator for 24 hours daily and only rest for an hour,” said the junior staffs who works at production section.
Last year a similar incident occurred as a result of 24-hour use of a generator, he said, adding the generator stopped suddenly and created panic as fire outbreak came to a brink.
Senior officials of the company at the time could not speak to the press.
The fire that broke out at one of the Company’s store burnt empty bottles of water and other raw materials to be used for production. At the time of press it could not estimated as to how much was the damage.
The situation however, was immediately rescued by the fire-brigade police.
