The State Deputy Governor, Jerome Gama Surur who represented the State Governor’s Louis Lobong Lojore during the official opening of the key office in Torit highly welcomed the establishment of the office facility. 

The Torit County Commissioner German Charles Ojok concluded that once the move is implemented as per their requests, it shall help the office to block away and identify foreigners who want to be treated like South Sudanese Nationals in pretext of acquiring the National Identity Cards of South Sudan.

Instances of Acholi of South Sudan and Uganda, Toposa of South Sudan and Turkana of Kenya, Jie of South Sudan and Uganda, Lango of South Sudan and Uganda, Nyangtom of South Sudan and Ethiopia, Madi of South Sudan and Uganda, among other tribes that live at borders take advantage to get the citizenship and should be avoided.

“Employ locals into the Immigration office so to identify their own brothers and sisters who have been divided by boundaries,” said the deputy governor.
