“After consultation with the speaker, the two leaders have agreed that the Assembly will be opened on Tuesday 25th June 2013,” the letter reads in part.

In announcement read on local fm Radio , the speaker states that the end of the three months recess and opening of the Assembly earlier scheduled for Thursday 20th June 2013 has now been deferred by four to Tuesday 25th June 2013.

Citing commitment of the state governor Louis Lobong Lojore in series of meetings at the national capital, Juba as a reason for the extension of the recess period, the letter states that the two leaders agreed after consultations.

The letter invites all the members of the state Assembly, the ministers, heads of Commissions, representative of UNMISS, the NGOs, CBOs, police, Wildlife, fire brigade and Directors General of the ministries.

As the state governor will be delivering his government policy statement that day, all the state MPs, the ministers, heads of Commissions, Representatives of UNMISS, the NGOs, CBOs, police, Wildlife, fire brigade, Directors General of the ministries, all the civil servants have been directed to attend the opening of the fourth session.

“During this opening, the governor will be delivering his government policy statement that day. All of you mentioned above are requested to come and attend this year’s policy statement 2013/2014,” the public notice and announcement memo states.

“Because of lack of space, those unable to attend are requested to tune to the state owned fm radio, 97.5fm” concluded the radio announcement signed by the state Legislative Assembly Speaker of Eastern Equatoria, Right Hon. Emmanuel Ambrose Ocholimoi.
