The long serving Director for Protocol in the office of the State Governor Abdalla Malook Mathiang according to the medical personnel died of malaria and heart failure.
“He will be remembered through his work commitment and his dedication to work,” Chol Tong Mayay, the former State Governor said of the late.
“It is very unfortunate to hear Abdulla is dead. He is a man with long vision to raise Lakes state,” he added in his condolence message to the bereaved family and fellow mourners.
Malook worked with all Lakes former governors; John Lat Zechariah, Daniel Awet Akot, Telar Ring Deng, Chol Tong Mayay and now Military Caretaker Governor Maj-Gen Matur Chut Dhuol right from when the state was established in 2005 after the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA).
Having worked under all the governors until his death makes him one of the longest serving directors in the state.
He began working with Lakes state government from Khartoum through a coordination office and later transferred to the state in 2006.
Malook had marriage with children.
