The governor said it was an insurgency plans by the former vice president Dr. Riek Machar.

Among the attendance were the Police, Fire Brigade, Wildlife, Prison service and members from the SPLA forces. 

“Today, we are very happy as we are addressing you now on the last failed coup attempt in the country,” said Rizik.

He urged the forces to remain calm as a national army protecting the nation and not to follow the politicians who want to turn the nation into war.

“This is South Sudan and one saying what occurred in Juba was a tribal issue then we have to take a drastic masseurs against him or her immediately because this is a person who is inciting the tribal altitude,” Rizik told the army.

Rizik said we have to rule and respect the lives of people and that those who were behind the coup attempt must face the law.

Major General David Manyok, the Fifth Infantry Division Commander said that the forces will offer protection to the citizens. 

Governor Rizik also conducted a similar meeting with the state politicians at the state council of ministers peace hall.
