The list of medical equipments donated and officially handed over included one hemoglobin photometer, two microscopes, two digital blood pressure monitors, four dual stethoscopes, one digital baby scale, two health scales, four pieces of soft collar, assorted pairs of scissors and four first aids kids.

Speaking shortly after the official handing over of the donations which was held ceremonially within the Torit State Hospital, the Torit Branch Manager Oketa Sisto Linous said his Bank annually dispenses its Corporate Social Investments in a state of its operation in the Republic of South saying this year its theme centre in supporting health sector.

“We are giving these as boost to the Hospital, it is in fact an initiative to support health sector to heighten service delivery to the needy ones,” he said.

According to the branch manager, the donation worth about 11,000 South Sudanese Pounds to the facility will support health personnel deliver to patients better.

All the equipments were procured from Kenya.

On behalf of his bank management, he promised the Bank will extending its ‘lend a hand’ annually to the state.

The branch Manager told the Journalists that each year, his Bank has Corporate Social responsibility to choose a sector to donate materials and for this year it has assisted the Hospital like in 2012, over 200,000 SSP to support military hospital but the same year we provided scholastic materials to schools apart from planting trees.

Receiving the gifts joyfully at the main Torit State Hospital, the Hospital’s Medical Director’s Dr Jerry Oliha sincerely registered thanks on behalf of the Hospital saying he was happy the donation were very essential equipments which would now help the citizens of Eastern Equatoria State.

The technical head of Ministry, the Acting Director General of the State Health Ministry Dr. Elijo Omoro Tahir expressed happiness to KCB for its commitment to support the sector.

Omoro yesterday witnessed the handover describing the initiative as a big contribution saying his reaction was a total happiness as it would now boost health department of the hospital.

Expressing his delightfulness, the leader advised the Hospital has to accordingly put the donation rightfully in use so everyone enjoys out of it.
