“Yes …issue of Bor is not separated or isolated from what happened in Juba ,” Nyuon told reporters at his coordination office today.

He said it is coup attempt that had affected the area because division 8th commander rebelled and joined the forces loyal to Riek Machar.

Koang said they were also joined by some auxiliary police forces that were in the town and some police from the state divided themselves into two in which other group joined the forces loyal to Riek Machar and other force loyal to South Sudan government remained.

Governor in his statement says he has no clear details of who has joined the rebel faction from state government, adding that only one minister from state government had joined the Machar rebellion.

“Up to now it is not yet clear that there are some members form the government who have joined the rebellion [with] exception of the minister of Law Enforcement, Gabriel Duop Lam, no doubt he has joined the rebellion,” Nyuon said.

The Governor urges the public that South Sudan crisis is not a tribal but some people misunderstood and mobilized their people in tribal lines so that they get support.

He said also some soldiers in Juba committed atrocities and killed innocent people.
