Global Development Service, a civil society organisation in Wau State today launched an awareness campaign forum in Wau on the compromised peace agreement.

WAU, 06 January 2016 [Gurtong)] – The organisation brought together youth from Jur River County who will scale up the peace awareness messages to the communities.

The purpose of the forum is to teach the youth the contents of the agreement especially in regards to the formation of the government of transitional national unity.

Speaking at the launching today at the Civic Engagement Centre in Wau town, the State Director for the Organisation, Gabriel Dhal said the youth go to the communities and highlight the contents of the peace agreement.

“. The participants are here to be taken through the eight chapters on the peace agreement but we are focusing on the one chapter which is the government of transitional national unity and we require them to go and disseminate this information also to the communities on the ground there,” said Dhal.

The forum is being supported by the Democracy International Success Program.
