On Tuesday, at least 29 people were murdered by the cruel hands of misguided religious groups at Mastung, Balochistan. There were 45 passengers in the bus. The bus was travelling from Quetta to the Iranian city and when it reached the Ghanjdori area of Mastung eight armed people attacked the bus.

The armed people used rocket launchers by placing their jeeps in front of the bus. This misguided religious group forced the innocent people to come out and then opened fire on them.

On Wednesday, in different parts of the provincial capital, a shutter-down strike was observed to condemn the killings. The sources reported that 29 Shia pilgrims in Ghandori area of Mastung district had been murdered.

The plan of Tuesday’s cruel murder of 29 bus passengers near Mastung showed the peak of savagery. The same has been practiced in other parts of the country in the recent time especially in Karachi.

Most of the pilgrims were from the Hazara community and they were lined up by the terrorists who checked their identity cards before killing them. An ambulance was going to provide aid to the victims in Mastung but unfortunately it was also fired and killed three people on the spot.

The responsibility for these two acts has been undoubtedly claimed by Lashkar-i-Jhangvi. One is carried out by not only the militants’ brutal state of mind but also the failure of authorities to provide security to certain buses carrying pilgrims.
