Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-N’s current chief Nawaz Sharif launched a scathing attack on the ruling government and accused them of using the democratic system for personal gains.

Nawaz Sharif while talking to the media in Sakrand town in Sindh said he holds the top leadership of people’s party responsible for the current bad state of the country and not the party itself.

Nawaz grieved over the position of the state institutions and said if mandatory steps are not taken then the institution of PIA (Pakistan International Airlines) will have the same fate as Pakistan Railways.

He added that the people of Pakistan are suffering the consequences of bad governance.

While answering the question asked about the recent appointment of Admiral (retd) Fasih Bukhari as the chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), he said the appointment fell short of satisfying the apex court’s rulings and lacked the requirements of the consultation process.

He also discarded Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani’s claims that the approval of 18th Amendment paved the way for him to become Prime Minister for a third time, and said he is not dependent on the 18th Amendment to become the Prime Minister.
