According to police authorities, Justice Ghulam Mustafa Mughal, The Chief Justice of Azad Jammu & Kashmir High Court was injured by unknown attackers in Muzaffarabad Tuesday afternoon.

The Chief Justice of AJK was taking an evening stroll at the AJK University ground, when unknown attackers fired bullets at him leaving him injured. The attackers ran away after the incident. Justice Mughal was rushed to the nearby hospital in Muzaffarabad, where the doctors told the media that his condition is stable and he is out of danger.

A senior official told reporters that he is being provided with required Medicare by a team of senior Medico Specialists. Investigations are in progress.

The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Justice Muhammad Azam Khan ordered the Inspector General Police of AJK Tariq Khokher to arrest the accused within 24 hours.

Talking to this Correspondent here Tuesday night, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Azad Jammu & Kashmir Justice took serious notice of the incident and ordered high level inquiry in to the tragic incident which he described first-ever and worst in nature, in the judicial history of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

The AJK Prime Minister Ch. Abdul Majeed, who is on a tour to United Kingdom was strongly condemned the attack on the Chief Justice of AJK High Court Justice Ghulam Mustafa Mughal and ordered a high-level probe into the incident.
