Pakistan International Airlines habit of delayed flights continued as relatives and families of pilgrims waited for many hours at various airports across the country.
PK-2508 a flight which was coming from Jeddah to Islamabad got delayed for more than five hours. The flight took off five hour later the scheduled time.
Flights coming from Jeddah to Lahore were also delayed. A flight PK-206 reached Lahore after a huge delay of eight hours. Moreover another flight from Jeddah to Lahore got delayed for 11 hours.
These delays caused a great deal of stress to the relatives of the pilgrims, as they were forced to spend many hours waiting at the airports.
The Pakistan International Airlines demonstrated that it treats VIPs and regular citizens alike as MNAs flights were also delayed.
At the Karachi airport, a special Hajj flight carrying 65 parliamentarians landed after a delay of eight hours. Talking to the media at the airport, most parliamentarians lamented the provision of poor services to citizens.
They said the flight was delayed despite the presence of such a large number of parliamentarians. They also pointed out the language barrier at the PIA’s terminals at Saudi airports.
