Delhi FireA 55-year-old person got hurt in the Sunday night fire at a community hall in north-east Delhi during a meeting of trans-genders succumbed to injuries today, taking the death toll to 15 in the incident. Santosh from Kolkata, who had suffered 85 per cent burns in the Nand Nagri blaze, died at Guru Teg Bahadur hospital in New Delhi, as told by the doctors and police.

With this, a total of 15 people have died in the incident while over 30 are undergoing treatment.

“Most of those who were fetched dead to the hospital were in their seventies or eighties. Their bodies were burnt beyond recognition. Those who identified them were quiet aged themselves and addressed those dead as their guru and mummy,” a police official at the hospital said.

A large number of eunuchs from different parts of the country, meanwhile, had crowded the hospital, where many of over the over 30 injured were undergoing treatment, crying and consoling others from the community. Residents from nearby places came in with food and water for those who had gathered there.

Police are also helping hand in hand to save the people who are there in the building where the fire broke down. But till date, the reason of breaking down of fire is still unknown. Police is going to collect all the information and then they will declare the reasons of fire.
