In order to ensure transparency and credibility in the State administration, Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda on Wednesday launched live streaming of the working of his offices at the Vidhana Soudha and his home office, Krishna. The goings on can be viewed 24×7 across the world.

However, only visual inputs will be available in the live streaming as of now. The Chief Minister hinted that audio inputs would be available at a later stage depending upon the response. One camera has been installed in the Chief Minister’s chamber on the third floor of the Vidhana Soudha and conference halls and chambers at Krishna to cover the meetings.

The feed from each of the cameras is taken to the streaming servers of Content Delivery Networks, from where streaming of the video takes place. The public can view the coverage by visiting the official portal of Government of Karnataka.

The following are the steps to follow for viewing live feed: on the Internet browser, type www.karnataka.gov.in or www.karunadu.gov.in. Depending on where the Chief Minister is, citizens can access/see the live feed from either of the locations.

The equipment has been installed at a cost of Rs. 25 lakh, in collaboration with the Centre for Development of Imaging Technology, Thiruvananthapuram.

The Chief Minister said the initiative is part of his Government’s people-friendly approach.
