The Samajwadi Party (SP) is expected to win in Uttar Pradesh with a significant majority making Mulayam Singh Yadev, the national party president, to be the next expected Chief Minister of UP.
The president of SP in Uttar Pradesh Akilesh Yadev spoke to the media on Monday and said, “We have a done a lot of hard work to ensure the success of the party and are hopeful of getting majority” whereas the party leader has chosen to remain quite until the announcement of the results.
The results of the elections are to be announced tomorrow.
Akilesh further said that “The elected legislators will decide who will be the next CM. I think netaji [Mulayam Singh Yadev] is everyone’s choice and will become the CM”. Without commenting much he said that the result of the polling will declare the reality and everyone should wait for that.
Regarding no statement given by Mulayam, his party officials defended him saying “what can be better statement than silence”.
Another party member, Mr. Chaudhry stated that it is not sure that if the need for selecting a CM for the state arsies, Netaji will be one the only candidate. He said, “Netaji is one leader whose heart beats in rhythm with party workers’ hearts.”
However, clarifying the rumors revolving, Mulaya’s son Akilesh has declared that his father will be the next CM of UP.
