Leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) Nawaz Sharif demanded that early elections should be conducted to put an end to the increasing problems that the country is facing. He said so on Wednesday while announcing that the senator of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Anwar Baig has become a part of their political party now.
He spoke at the occasion and said that an incumbent government like this cannot do any good for Pakistan and problems for the country will keep increasing other than reducing if the government continues to hold power. He demanded that it is time that early elections should be conducted and the regime of problems should be put to an end. He said, “Government had better announce election. Scandals of corruption have been emerging on daily basis.” He also said that record level of corruption scandals have sprung up during this government’s regime and a record level of corruption has taken place in the country.
Answering to one of the questions from the media members, he said that he has not back out of the memogate case as he was the one to take the case to Supreme Court in the first place. He mentioned that he or his party has not taken any money which is being referred by Younis Habib and said that he has issued Younas Habib a defamation notice under the law.
