Technical problems delay MAS London flight

Malaysian Airlines announced on Tuesday that their flight to London which was supposed to take off last night was delayed for quite a bit until morning due to the engine of the flight facing some technical problems.

The flight facing technical problems was MH 2 with a Boeing 747-400 engine was called back to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) from where it had took off only a while ago due to some technical fault being discovered in one of the engines of the flight. Authorities mentioned that the flight landed back safely and the decision to do so was keeping in mind the safety and protection of the passengers. They also informed that the plane had 351 passengers and 22 crew members on board when the technical problem was witnessed.

The official statement released by MAS said, “A rescue aircraft was arranged with a fresh set of crew to continue the flight to London. In the interest of passenger safety, the flight captain decided to return to KLIA and the Boeing 747-400 aircraft with 351 passengers and 21 operating crew had an uneventful landing at 0205 hours this morning [Tuesday].”

The Airline arranged for the temporary accommodation of all passengers on the flight and informed that the flight finally departed at 10: 34 am on Tuesday.
