A woman has disclosed that her son blew himself up during the deadly attack on the Islamabad district court which claimed almost 11 lives including that of a district court judge. Sources informed that a correspondence between the intelligence and law enforcement agencies revealed that the mother said her name was Palwasha Khan and she claimed that her son Fidaullah, who went missing on January 9, was involved in the attack.
She further told the intelligence agencies by telephone that a report was also lodged with the Iqbal Town Police Station in Lahore about Fidaullah’s disappearance, the sources said. The correspondence further stated the woman claimed that mastermind of the court attack owned a restaurant. Apparently the attacker travelled from Lahore to Islamabad to caryy out the attack.The terrorists attacked the District Katchery in the capital city of Pakistan, Islamabad last Monday. The attack killed 11 people, which included a judge and four lawyers, while 28 others faced injuries in the incident.
This attack was a piercing scream in the quiet city of diplomats, politicians and civil servants and tends to reflect the worst kind of terrorism faced by Pakistan. The IG informed that one suicide bomber attacked the court of the additional sessions’ judge‚ while the other hit a place near the office of the bar association. The Additional Sessions Judge Rafaqat Awan received a direct bullet in the chest. The woman has identified her son in the videos played by an international television channel.
