This Monday, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, a political party which is gaining popularity in Pakistan and has the masses following it, condemned the Jinnah International Airport attack which lead to nineteen losing their life in defense.
The PTI core committee, under the chairmanship of Imran Khan met today and condemned the government’s total failure to protect its citizens and critical installations from terrorist attacks. The core committee also condemned the TTP for the attack on Karachi airport,” a press release issued by the party said. “It was a complete security and intel failure,” the statement said, adding that “lessons from the Mehran base incident were not learnt”. The chief of PTI, Imran Khan, tweeted at 8:29 a.m. on the 9th of June, “Khi airport terrorist attack shocking. Continuing security & intel lapses reflect a failure of the govt’s National Counter Terrorism Policy.”
Yesterday night ten men belonging to the Tehreek-e-Taliban entered the airport in Karachi, in two groups of five and attacked the airplanes carrying cargo. 19 men belonging to the group of Pakistani rangers and army died in the counter attack but peace was restored after all of the militants were killed. The militants carried heavy weapons including food and blood freezing injections and blood banks. The TTP’s planning to delay function at the airport was failed by the Pakistani heroes who fought back bravely.
