Singapore has a special way of marking their independence. The babies born in 2015, will honoured with special gifts. The parents of Singapore’s Jubilee babies born in the year 2015 will receive eight items in the Jubilee Baby Gift pack: A special medallion, multi-functional shawl, baby sling, set of baby clothes, diaper bag, scrapbook, photo frame and baby book. The eight items were the top choices which were made by a month-long vote that saw about 20,000 people participate in it.
“The Jubilee Baby Gift symbolises our best wishes, hopes and aspirations from this generation of Singaporeans to the next. We hope that parents will enjoy the gift as they use the items to care for their babies, to capture happy memories for their families, and to commemorate their child’s birth in the Jubilee Year,” said Ms Anita Fam, the Chairperson for the Jubilee Baby Gift Advisory Panel.
The final set of items in the gift package took into account a mix of the three elements, can also be called the three C’s, namely, to “Care” for the baby; to “Celebrate” the baby; and to “Commemorate” the baby’s birth in 2015. This, panel said, is for a balance of practical and meaningful items. More details on how parents will receive the Jubilee Baby Gift in 2015 will be revealed later in this year.
