Pervaiz Rasheed, the Federal Information Minister of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) this Saturday answered all four questions asked by Imran Khan, chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, during yesterday’s Bahawalpur rally. He said that the government wanted Khan to spend money on the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan instead of wasting them on a day trip to Islamabad.
While answering the first question at a press conference, he said that he was the one to ask the current Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Nawaz Sharif to give his televised victory speech at the night of May 11th, 2013 that is the night of the General Elections. “I am ready to face any punishment including the capital punishment from Imran Khan if he considers this as a crime,” he added. While answering the next three questions, Rasheed added that the Returning Officers for the last elections were appointed according to the demands of the former cricketer himself. He said that he was the one to make this demand to the Election Commission in 2012. Whereas the caretaker government could not play any role as Najam Sethi who was then Punjab’s Chief Minister was appointed by Pakistan People’s Party(PPP).
Yesterday during his speech, Imran Khan had asked these four question adding that he wanted these questions answered within a month or else there will be a march of one million people towards the country’s capital on 14th of August, the Independence Day of Pakistan.
