A tragic incident names as the Khuzdar blast took place in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district this Monday. About seven passengers were injured in a blast that was targeting a bus according to Levies personnel. A Levies official further informed a local channel that militants had targeted the passenger bus through a remote-controlled bomb in Khuzdar district’s Garisha area.

The official further added that the explosion was dues to a bomb that was placed at the roadside and was specifically aimed at the bus that was coming from the area of Turbat. He informed that those injured in the blast had been immediately taken to the Civil Hospital of Khuzdar for medical aid and treatment. There were no rescue workers at the site of the blast and thus the injured were taken to the hospital by locals who carried out the relief activities. The condition of two injured passengers has been informed to be critical. No group has yet taken claim of the attack.

Khuzdar district is located in the centre of Balochistan province of Pakistan. Khuzdar is the capital of Khuzdar district. The area was originally part of Kalat District until Khuzdar was established on 1 March 1974.It is considered as one of the most sensitive districts of Balochistan. The militants have been targeting the country and the national forces of Pakistan from there for about a decade.  A lot of families have been forced to migrate from the area to different parts of the area.
