A man in north west Sydney has been charged over driving a car into his sister over a domestic fight on Wednesday in Blue Mountains.

The fight between the siblings started at their house in Heather Road in Winmalee at about 2 30 pm. The boy is reported to have run over her sister after his sister’s cat urinated on his personal computer. Initial investigation revealed that the girl was dragged on the floor before the boy took her cat out in his car. The girl followed his brother on the street and the boy allegedly run the car over her. The girl is 19 years old whereas her brother is 20 years of age. The girl was immediately taken to the hospital with quite a few serious injuries. She had a collapsed lung, and a fractured leg and spine. Crime scene was established outside the house where the running over incident took place and the police are working towards finding clues and evidence which can help in the case.

The duty inspector of the Blue Mountain area Peter Scheinflug expressed that the stance of the boy is unclear as to what he wanted to do with the cat when he threw the cat in his car. He said this was not a usual domestic fight and it definitely did not have the outcomes of a regular domestic quarrel. He termed the incident as “an unusual one”.

The boy has been charged with crime of negligent driving and assault. However, he was granted bail and was asked to appear to the court whenever summoned.
