Jian Chen, a 47-year-old Chinese businesswoman started Ocean Meats, an Australian seafood import business in 2009. She admitted in NSW Supreme Court that she had killed her former lover Xian Peng in February 2011, by cutting off his penis while he was asleep.
Ms Chen was initially charged for the murder in New South Wales Supreme Court but she had pleaded the court to accept her guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter and her plead was accepted.
Australian Police stated that Xian Peng a 48-year-old man came back to Australia from China last year along with his new girlfriend. And a few days later, Ms Chen used the sleeping pills in the soup she gave to Mr Peng. After he fell asleep, she tied his feet and hands then stabbed him maliciously in his neck and groin. Then she assaulted him with a knife and sliced off the man’s penis and scrotrum. She notified the ambulance to her North Ryde home that she stabbed her boyfriend and when medical people arrived they found the bleeding victim who died later in the hospital of his damages.
The neighbors uttered to describe Ms Chen's personality as silent and reserved.
The case was put over to August 10 for the hearing of sentence and Ms Chen stayed in the custody until she was sentenced.
It was reported that according to police statement, Mr Peng had broken the relationship with Ms Chen before the attack and that could have been the reason behind this awful incident.
