Andrew MitchellScotland Yard has announced police have made second arrest; in the alleged former Conservative Chief Whip, Andrew Mitchell’s row with the police officer; in ‘Plebgate’ inquiry.

The 23-year-old man get arrested from his home last night and inquired on suspicion of intentionally encouraging or assisting the commission of an offence.

The man arrested is neither a police officer nor a member of police staff, on the basis of alleged offence that took place on December 14.

The man was held at a London police station overnight and was released on bail this morning until a date next month.

He is the second person to be arrested in connection with the ‘plebgate’ scandal which claimed to witness Mr. Mitchell calling the Downing Street police officers ‘plebs’ in an altercation to cycle through the main gates. The former Tory Chief Whip has always denied using any such word but admitted swearing at the officers with apologizing for the bad language but resigned three weeks later as a result of mounted pressure led by the accusation.

Last weekend Scotland Yard announced a member of the Diplomatic Protection Group had been arrested on suspicion of committing misconduct in public officer after it emerged that he had claimed to have independently witnessed the exchange in Downing Street on September 19.

Thirty officers are working on the investigation into the validity of claims made in the provided evidence.

Detectives are also investigating over the conspiracy of leaking the police log into the media.
