Former BBC Radio 1 DJ Dave Lee Travis has officially entered not guilty pleas to 14 counts of indecent assault and one count of sexual assault.
The ex-BBC star is accused of 15 sex offence charges that reported to have happened between 1976 and 2008. The allegations relate to 11 women aged in the range from 15 to 29.
The 68-year-old Lee Travis appeared at Southwark Crown Court in London on Tuesday under his real name, David Patrick Griffin.
Mr. Travis, of Mentmore, Buckinghamshire, was first arrested previous year in November by Operation Yewtree officers on suspicion of sexual offences. Since then he has consistently denied any wrongdoing in this regard.
Mr. Travis was one of the fourteen individuals to be arrested since the opening of Operation Yewtree, which was set up by Scotland Yard to investigate alleged sexual offences by Jimmy Savile and others.
However, Travis, PR guru Max Clifford, former BBC chauffeur David Smith and entertainer Rolf Harris are the only ones to have been charged in relation to the investigation.
Mr. Travis was charged on August 15 as part of Operation Yewtree, but the accusations against Travis have not found to be connected to the disgraced television presenter.
Afterwards, Mr. Travis was charged with additional counts on October 1.
Presently, Mr. Travis Travis is on bail on the condition that he will continue to live at his Bedfordshire home and will not contact the alleged victims involved in the fresh scandal.
He is due to stand trial on 14 January 2014. The trial is expected to last five to six weeks.
