Officers investigating the death of a 15-year-old boy in Denmark Hill on 12 August have released a picture of him (left).
Desean McDonald died on Sunday 15 August in Kings College Hospital.
Officers continue to appeal for witnesses and information to the incident.
Police were called at 18.53hrs on Thursday 12 August to reports of a collision between a black Mazda RX8 and a pedestrian in Denmark Road SE5.
The car was travelling north close to the junction with Camberwell Station Road SE5 when the incident occurred.
Desean (date of birth 30/11/94) from Beckenham was taken by ambulance to Kings College Hospital in a critical condition where he later died on Sunday, 15 August. Next of kin have been informed and he has been formally identified.
A post mortem took place at Kings College Hospital which gave the cause of death as head injury.
An Inquest opened and adjourned on 19 August at Southwark Coroners’ Court.
The male driver stopped at the scene.
