A British has died and two others have reported to be injured at an Army training centre in Cumbria.

Ministry of Defence (MoD) has reported that the incident believed to involve a vehicle roll-over at the Army’s Warcop Training Centre, near Appleby.

Warcop training area which covers 24,000 acres of land is used as a MoD live firing area.

A spokesperson from British Army has confirmed of one fatality and two injured.

The North West Ambulance Service spokesman has told the soldier was declared dead on arrival.

One patient was treated at the scene, while a third, a male aged 19, was flown to the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough with chest and back injuries. He is reported to be in a stable condition.

The Army said an investigation has begun into the incident to establish the facts.

The MoD have told to inform the family of the dead soldier.
