Gary GlitterFormer pop star Gary Glitter has charged with eight counts of child sex offences against two young girls on Thursday.

The 79-year-old celebrity, whose actual name is Paul Gadd, will be facing the criminal charges against the alleged victims aged between 12 and 14.

Glitter was arrested earlier in October 2012 as part of Operation Yewtree, a national investigation launched in the wake of abuse claims against the late BBC presenter Jimmy Savile.

However, the British pop-star was later released on police bail, which was extended in March this year.

Chief Crown Prosecutor for CPS London Baljit Ubhey has said: “We have carefully considered the evidence gathered by the Metropolitan Police Service in relation to Paul Gadd, also known as Garry Glitter.

“He was arrested on 28 October 2012 over allegations of sexual offences and the police have been providing material to the CPS since July 2013, with the most recent material submitted in March 2014.

“Having completed our review, we have concluded, in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors, that there is sufficient evidence and it is in the public interest for Mr Gadd to be charged with eight offences under the Sexual Offences Act 1956.

“Mr Gadd will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 19 June 2014.

“We have also decided that no further action should be taken in relation to five allegations made by two further complainants as we determined there was insufficient evidence for a realistic prospect of conviction.”

  1. Crimes against children are so heinous that accused pedophiles like Glitter, Sylvain Kustyan, Jerry Sandusky, etc. must be apprehended before they have years to continue to destroy young lives. Sandusky is now safely behind bars. But unfortunately, Kustyan, who has been formally charged with two counts each of 1st Degree Sodomy and Sexual Abuse of a ten-year-old little boy, fled to avocomment_ID imminent arrest. Kustyan, formerly of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Hermin/ Mazingarbe, France, as an English teacher, has led numerous groups of schoolchildren on trips to the US, the UK and Ireland.. Pedophiles condemn their victims to a lifetime of emotional and psychological trauma and often permanent physical ailments as well. Since the average pedophile has 300 different victims in their lifetime and since the reccomment_IDivism rate among pedophiles is virtually 100% and since there is no effective treatment and no known cure they must be stopped ASAP!
