Swian Zanoni, Brazilian motorcross rider passed away at the age of 23 during the final lap of the motor cycle race.

According to the Brazilian motorcycling confederation, Zanoni inflicted up on himself a severe neck injury in an attempt to overtake another biker in the race that was held on Sunday at Orizania. The player had recently recovered from a broken arm that had barred him from attending various competitions.

Roberto Boettcher, the confederation’s vice president said “This is a huge loss. He was representing Brazil in the world’s most important motocross championship. He was carrying the Brazilian flag.”

The player has various awards to his name. He participated in the FIM motocross World Championship and won over 20 motocross and supercross titles with achieving the award for runner-up in the Brazilian supercross championship in 2007 and 2008.
