Political activist Mahdi Fakhrzadeh has been detained, an opposition site has reported.

According to Kaleme, Fakhrzadeh was arrested at his place last Saturday and there’s been no news of him since.

Intelligence Ministry agents reportedly searched Fakhrzadeh’s home and took him to the publishing house where they confiscated his computer.

Fakhrzadeh, is a former student activist who has worked with the Cheshm Andaz-e Iran magazine as well as the Samadiyeh publishing house.

As an activist at Rajaei University, Fakhrzadeh spend a while in prison after the student protests of July 1999.
