Atomic complex Fordo attacked again, also bombarded Iranian prison

The atomic complex at Fordo has been attacked again, report Iranian state media. The underground nuclear facility was also bombed by the United States last weekend. Around noon, Israel confirmed to have performed the bombing today.

According to the head of the UN atomic watchdog Rafael Grossi, last weekend’s American bombing has probably done great damage. “Given the gravity of the bombs used and the extreme sensitivity to vibrations of the centrifuges, there will have been very extensive damage”, “,”, he said.

The Fordo complex is deep underground. America used so -called bunker busters in that attack; Heavy bombs that penetrate deep into the ground before they explode. It is not clear which weapons were used in the attack today.

Evin prison

Israël today again carried out attacks on Tehran. There the gate of the notorious Evin prison was destroyed. On images verified by the NOS you can see that a large hole has been made in the complex, where many political prisoners are.

The Israeli Ministry of Defense confirms the attacks and says that there was also a headquarters of the BASJ target, part of the Iranian revolutionary guard. Minister Katz speaks of attacks with an “unprecedented force”.

According to the Iranian news agency ILNA and news channel Al Jazeera, a university building and a building of the State television have been made in Tehran from which live broadcasts are made. It is not yet clear how many victims have fallen with the new attacks.

Iranian drones and rockets

Conversely, Iran also bombed Israel again this morning, according to Iranian state media with dozens of drones. Rockets would also have been used that, according to Israel, were largely made harmless by the air defense.

The Israeli sister organization of the Red Cross says that projectiles have landed in the north and center of the country. As far as we know, there were no victims.

Dutch soldiers away

The Dutch Army reports that 70 of the 145 Dutch soldiers of 11 Airmobile Brigade who were stationed in Iraq are on the way to the Netherlands. They have now arrived in Jordan. According to outgoing Minister of Defense Brekelmans, they will travel to the Netherlands later today.

The Dutch, who, among others, transport and secure NATO advisers in and around the capital Baghdad in Iraq, should have already left a few days ago because their mission is on it. They could not leave because Iraq’s sky was closed because of the war between Israel and Iran.
