Peel Regional Police are continuing to investigate a homicide that took place in 2006, in Brampton, and are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the suspect.

On Thursday, July 13, 2006, police responded to a call at a residential apartment and discovered a female victim, deceased, with obvious signs of trauma to her body. Investigators from the Homicide Bureau were contacted and took over the investigation.

The victim was identified as Malena MORALES, a 31 year-old resident of Brampton.

As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Ms. MORALES’ husband; Henry MORALES. At the time of the homicide, Henry MORALES was described as a 34 years-old male, Hispanic, with an olive complexion, 175 cm (5’9”) tall, weighing 82 kg (180 lbs), with short straight black hair. He had false front teeth and a tattoo of barbed wire on his right upper arm.

Investigators believe that Henry MORALES may have fled to Harris County, Texas, or his native country, El Salvador, where his family resides. However, his exact whereabouts are still unknown.

Homicide Investigators have worked in conjunction with America’s Most Wanted, the U.S Marshalls Office, Interpol and the El Salvadorian Authorities, in their attempts to locate Mr. MORALES.
