Hamilton Cathedral Secondary School teacher Giuseppe Graziano charged with sexual assault

The Hamilton Police Service Victims of Crime Unit, Child Abuse Branch, has charged a Hamilton teacher following an investigation into incidents of invitation to sexual touching, sexual assault and sexual interference involving a student at Cathedral Secondary School in January and February, 2011.

It is alleged that the victim was initially approached at school in January 2011 by teacher Giuseppe GRAZIANO with a request to engage in sexual activity. A sexual assault took place in February, 2011 in an unoccupied classroom of the school. The Catholic Children’s Aid Society and the Hamilton Police Service conducted a joint investigation which led to his arrest and charges.

Giuseppe GRAZIANO is a teacher at Cathedral Secondary School and has been teaching there for 14 years.

Child Abuse Branch Investigators are seeking further information and assistance from the public. It is believed that there may be other victims that have yet to report to the police.
