The Hamilton Police Service Division Three Detectives is seeking the assistance of the public in identifying three male involved in a shooting incident at a Hamilton Mountain home yesterday.

On Tuesday March 29th, 2011 at approximately 6:30 p.m., three unknown males, one armed with a firearm, forced their way into a home on West 3rd St. near Fennell Ave. W. looking for someone not known to the residents. An altercation erupted between the residents and the suspects and a shot was fired that struck one of the victims, a 20 yr. old male, in his arm. The incident ended with a small amount of cash and some stereo equipment being stolen by the suspects. The suspects fled in an unknown direction, possibly in a vehicle. Hamilton Police do not believe this to be a random incident.

The victim receiving a gunshot wound was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are considered to be non-life threatening. The four remaining male residents were not harmed.

Division three Detectives are seeking the assistance of the public in identifying the suspects involved. They are described as:

Suspect 1 – male, black, 20 – 25 yrs., 190 lbs., 6’1", average shape, wearing a black bandanna, black sweater or jacket with black boots.

Suspect 2 – male, black, 20 – 25 yrs., 5’10", heavy build, armed with the firearm.

Suspect 3 – male, white, 19 – 23 yrs., moustache, wearing a snow boarding jacket.
