Common Bawdy-House busted in London

On Thursday, March 31, 2011, at approximately 9:00 PM, members of the London Police Services Community Oriented Response Unit executed a search warrant on an address on Pitcarnie Crescent in London.

As a result of that investigation and warrant one adult male and one adult female were arrested.

Mark Fortais, a 47 year old male from London, is charged with:
– Permit a place to be used as a common bawdy-house contrary to section 210(2)(c) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
– Live on avails of prostitution of another person contrary to section 212(1)(j) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Mark Fortais is further charged, along with 33 year old Jamie Thiel of London with:
– Unlawfully possess a schedule I substance, cocaine, contrary to section 4(3) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
– Keep a common bawdy house contrary to section 210(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Both parties are attending court this date.
