One person killed in house fire, Saint-Norbert, N.B

On Sunday, April 10, 2011, around 2:00 a.m., members of the Beersville Fire Department, along with members of RCMP District 5, Bouctouche Detachment, responded to a house fire on Louisbourg Road, in Saint-Norbert, N.B.

Upon arrival, the home was fully engulfed in flames. Once the fire was extinguished, firefighters located a body inside the residence. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday morning in order to determine the cause of death and the identity of the deceased person.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time and the matter remains under investigation by the Fire Marshall and police.
