Lifeguard Richard Mechel charged for sexual assault in 90’s

USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public to an arrest made in a historical sexual assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

– the accused was an employee of Wild Waterworks in Hamilton, working as a lifeguard at the time of the offences

– the accused befriended an eight-year-old boy and his family while working at the water park

– between 1993 and 1999, when the boy was now 10, he was assaulted by the accused

– the offences were committed in Toronto.

On Friday, May 27, 2011, Richard Mechel, 37, was charged with:

1. Invitation to Sexual Touching
2. Sexual Exploitation
3. Sexual Assault

The accused is schedules to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 , room 111.

Police believe there may be other victims.
