High risk offender James Leo Gracie on the loose in Vancouver

The Vancouver Police Department is asking the public to be on the lookout for a high risk offender that is wanted Canada-wide for breaching his conditions of release.

Police believe that James Leo Gracie poses a risk of significant harm to the safety of female and male children, as well as female adolescents. He was residing in a federal halfway house in Vancouver and left the house this morning.

Gracie has a history of sex-related convictions involving children, both known and not known to him. He is 51 years old, white, 6’1″ tall, 170 lbs., with short brown hair and hazel eyes and he speaks with a French-Canadian accent. He has a tattoo of a rattlesnake and “Slim Jim” on his right forearm and a heart with leaves on his left arm. Gracie has a large scar on right cheek and chin and a large bump on his forehead.

Anyone who sees James Leo Gracie is asked to call 9-1-1.
