Attempted abduction of 11 year old girl shocks London

Police are seeking assistance from the public in locating a male that attempted to abduct a young female.

On Friday, June 24, 2011 at approximately 8:27 a.m. an 11-year-old female was waiting for her bus near York Street and Colbourne Street. At this time she was approached by a male who grabbed her by the back pack and lifted her off the ground. The young victim was able to get away from this male.

Police are looking for a 45-55-year-old, white male about 6 feet tall and very thin with a thin face. He had burst blood vessels on his face and a 1cm scar on chin. The male has gray slicked back hair and a few days growth of facial hair.

He was wearing a black and white, Boston Red Sox jacket, with large logo on the rear, blue jeans and a blue button up shirt.

This male is believed to frequent downtown London between the Hamilton Road and Dundas Street corridor.
