No arrests in death of Surrey man Luis Alonso Euceda Torres

Next of kin notification in the August 7 death of a 53-year-old Surrey man has been completed.

He is identified as Luis Alonso EUCEDA TORRES, 53, of Surrey.

Investigators remain at the scene and members of the Lower Mainland District Tactical Troop continue to search the area for additional evidence.

There are no additional updates at this time.

Background

The investigation continues into the homicide of a 53-year-old male resident of Surrey at 12171 96A Ave. on Sunday August 7, 2011. At approximately 2:05 am Surrey RCMP received a 911 call regarding an incident that occurred at a residence in the 12100 block of 96A Ave. Uniformed officers attended the scene and located an adult male resident deceased outside his home.

The 38-year-old female suspect who had been arrested at the scene early Sunday morning has been released from custody pending further investigation in regards to her alleged actions and those of the victim. The suspect’s permanent residence has not been established and there is no reason to believe that this was a domestic dispute or that the suspect and victim were in a common law relationship. Both were known to one another.

The victim has been positively identified however his identity will not be released pending notification of family.

Investigators will be at the scene of 12171 and 12179 96A Ave. for at least the next 24 hrs pending the execution of search warrants at both residences in an effort to secure further evidence.
