On Monday, September 5, 2011, the Toronto & York Region Labour Day Parade will take place.

The parade forms on University Avenue, between Queen Street West and Armoury Street, departing from the corner of University Avenue and Queen Street West. The parade continues west on Queen Street West, south on Dufferin Street, and into the grounds of the CNE.

Road closures begin around the formation area at 7:30 a.m. Road closures along the route begin at 9:30 a.m.

PARADE ROUTE:

Formation Area: University Ave. (Richmond St. W. to Dundas St.W.)
Southbound on University Ave.
Westbound on Queen St. W.
Southbound on Dufferin St.
Dispersal Area: Dufferin Gates (CNE grounds)

ROAD CLOSURE:

University Ave.: Richmond St. W. to Dundas St.W.
Armoury St.: University Ave. to Chestnut St.
Centre Ave.: Armoury St. to Dundas St. W.
Queen St. W.: Bay St. to Dufferin St.
Dufferin St.: Queen St. W. to the CNE grounds

The event will proceed regardless of weather conditions.
