The Hamilton Police Service is investigating incidents where women involved in sex work have been sexually assaulted. They are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect involved.
On two separate Monday evenings, August 22nd and 29th 2011, a woman involved in sex work was walking along Barton Street East, and was approached by a male driving a white 4-door vehicle. The male signals for the victim to come to the car to negotiate the cost of the transaction. The male takes the victim to an isolated area, where he asks them to get out of the car for the sex act. Once outside of the car, the male sexually assaults the victim.
Another incident took place in July 2010 involved a male matching the same description. All three incidents are similar in nature.
The Hamilton Police Service is investigating all three incidents as being potentially linked.
Suspect Description:
– Male, Caucasian
– In his 30’s
– Approximately 5’8″ – 5’10”
– Athletic build, with a muscular abdomen
– Shaved head
– No accent, speaks English
Clothing
– Wearing either a blue t-shirt with white lettering; or a red t-shirt with a Portuguese symbol on it and patterned shorts
Vehicle
– White four-door motor vehicle, with light grey interior and blue dash lights. The interior of the vehicle is clean, with a clean smell to the car
