Power Restored In California After 11 Hours of Blackout

Electricity has been completely restored in after being out completely for the Thursday afternoon. The reason for the outage was the failure of a 500-kilovolt power line between Arizona and Southern California. This caused problems not only for the residents but also shops, restaurants and schools as they remained shut throughout.

The areas that experienced complete blackout include certain areas of Orange County to San Diego to Yuma, Arizona.

However, according to the latest update power has been restored completely in Imperial Valley. This was announced by the Imperial Irrigation District Customers.  Power has also been restored to San Diego and its suburbs. La Jolla, Mission Valley, and Bay Park The crew worked throughout the night to restore electricity in the region.

The power outage lasted for 11 hours. It has now been restored for a total number of 694,000 people in the region.
