An investigation lead by RCMP Major Crime Unit North and the District 9 RCMP has concluded that the deaths of 59-year-old Julien Guitard and 51-year-old Anne-Marie Guitard, who were found in their home in Charlo, N.B. on September 10, 2011, were the result of a murder-suicide.
Due to the circumstances, charges are not anticipated in this matter. At the request of the family, other details surrounding their deaths will not be made public.
The investigation is continuing.
