Moncton man killed in road collision with a moose near Waterville, N.B.

On Sunday, September 25, 2011, at approximately 8:30 p.m., members of the District 7 RCMP responded to a single-vehicle collision in the eastbound lane of the Trans-Canada Highway, near Waterville, N.B.

The vehicle had struck a moose and left the road. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 26-year-old man from Moncton, was pronounced dead at the scene. EMS paramedics, members of the Hartland Fire Department and an RCMP collision reconstructionist also attended the scene.

The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of his family.
