A rare moment in the history of Ontario is to take place tonight – leaders of the three focal political parties will appear in front of the camera at the same time during tonight’s broadcasted debate.

According to the polls, there is a tough draw between Liberals and Progressive Conservatives in forming a minority government, whereas, Democrats enjoy an ultimate lead. The Ontario Leaders Debate will be aired live on Tuesday, Sept. 27 starting at 6:30 p.m. ET.

According to a professor of political science at McMaster University in Hamilton, Henry Jacek, debates close to the voting day have great impact. He says Hudak must consider staying calm during the debate because Horwath will benefit from the madness of her opponents.

Recently, McGuinty assured the voters to scrap a gas plant in Mississauga, which gave his opponents a chance to mock him. According to his rivals, McGuinty’s promises are a desperate attempt to win votes at hefty financial cost to taxpayers.

Whereas, Hudak promised Monday to reflect on the best interests of alarmed residents when it comes to wind farms. He said he would value signed contracts, but also look at termination clauses to help them if that’s what local residents yearn for.
