The Vancouver Police are requesting the public’s help to locate a 30 year old Vancouver man who has been missing since Friday, September 23rd.
Athanasios “Tom” Mavros was last seen by his family at about 10 p.m. on Friday, September 23rd, near the intersection of Granville and Davie Street.
Tom is white, 6’ tall, and 165 lbs. He has short brown hair, brown eyes, and is clean shaven. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a green jacket with the word “Bench” on the back, and a faded black ball cap.
Tom does not have a car and tends to travel by public transit. According to family members, he suffers from paranoid schizophrenia, is bi-polar, and has obsessive compulsive disorder. He is not believed to be taking his medication and it is reported that he can become violent when he is off his medication. This is uncharacteristic of Tom and he has not gone missing in the past.
